Things have been quite busy around here at Buck & Libby! With the Custom Portrait Reservation Event coming to a close, I have been spending my days doodling your beautiful faces, responding to emails, setting up custom listings, and scheduling deadlines. While it can get a little crazy at times, I wouldn't trade it for anything-- you all make me SO happy to be able to do what I do everyday!
With Fall weather fast approaching (my favorite!), the nights are getting cooler which means one of my favorite pastimes will be making a comeback-- backyard firepits! I absolutely love spending time with family and friends around a campfire. The smell of the smoke. The relaxing crackling sounds. The conversation. The booze (did I say that?). And of course, S'MORES! This new print was inspired by the tasty treat that is best served by a fire.
Along with the S'mores Best Friends print, I came up with this sassy doodle one evening when I really, REALLY didn't want to do the dishes. I decided that from now on, when chores are piling up and I find myself procrastinating, I'm not going to face them head on. Instead, I will just doodle about them. This print is going right above the kitchen sink! (Note: There is also a "censored" version of this print for all you sensitive souls and homes with kiddos!)
About a million years ago (ok, maybe more like 7 months ago) I designed a little giraffe pattern as I was tinkering around with surface pattern design. I loved the fact that I could use my illustrations, turn them into fun patterns, and then turn those into products! So way back in January or so, I created a giraffe iPhone case, which I've been carrying on my personal phone ever since.
Lately I've been working on creating some more fun animal patterns for my alphabet series, which I've now turned into new iPhone cases! You can find (and purchase!) one over at the Facebook Page Flash Sale, going on now, but I only have a limited number so be sure to snag on before it sells!
On one final note, craft show season is right around the corner, with tons of shows starting in October and running through the holiday season. One such show is The City Flea, that takes place here in Cincinnati. I am proud to announce that I have been selected as a vendor for their Fall and Winter Shows (in October & December, respectively). You can read more about the show on their website and be sure to check back often as I add upcoming shows to our Events Page!
So, that's what's been going on with me! What have you been up to? Share in the comments below or pop over and say hi on our Facebook page! Have a great week everyone!
