This little project was so fun to work on and allowed me to stretch myself creatively a bit! I was approached by this mom-to-be's mother saying she needed a baby shower invitation incorporating vintage colors, a travel theme, and my signature doodly style. Voila!
Confession: Some days I get nothing done. Piles of laundry, dishes left undone, the house a disaster. Anything creative or business-related? Forget it.
I got my sketchbook out this morning intending to start on some new designs, but then life happened and my ideas remain in my head, my sketchbook on my nightstand where I last had it this morning.
Guess what? It's ok. There is always tomorrow to get things done, but only today-- only right now-- to soak in the little moments with this guy.
We sang the same songs over and over, read the same books. We danced around the kitchen. Bundled up and walked around the neighborhood. We Facetimed with Daddy at work, had a visit from Mimi. Practiced rolling to our tummy, back, tummy, back...Eat, Sleep, Play, Repeat.
The days are long and monotonous, but full of love.
So perhaps tomorrow I will get things done. Be more productive. Do some chores. Run my business. Be the boss.
But if not? That's okay too. I'm busy being Mom.
And he is my greatest work.
You guys! How adorable are these Save The Dates I just finished up!? Working with Ashley was lovely and when she approached me with the idea of a waffle and a donut holding hands, I just couldn't pass it up! Super fun!
